I've been to the Rio Grande Valley when I was about 15 (I'm 22 now), and it was one of the most mesmerizing birding/wildlife experiences I've ever had. Particularly one morning at Santa Anna Refuge when 2 Jaguarundi ran in front of our car across the road, around noon a Mountain Lion did the same stopping in the middle of the road to give us a look and then run off. This whole area is so rich with wildlife it is absolutely heart-breaking to read this blog post. Walking through Sabal Palm, It felt more like I was walking through a Costa Rican jungle. Thank you for keeping us informed, and thank you for your books which I love so dearly!

-Chase
Bachmans' IvoryChase Schieferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14657293139673309324noreply@blogger.com
